WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO DO BEFORE GOING TO TREK?
Prepare your body-
- Running, Walk, Running
Running & Walking is the easiest and best for good health and trekking. Since the daunting of trekking & climbing requires long hours of public walk, ride, or drive, you must practice running or walking ablest one hour daily. Long walks during trekking make you tired those times and walk increase your fitness levels.
The benefits of running-
- Loosing of extra pounds weight
- Lower risk of heart problem
- Improve and balance blood circulation
- Increase stamina
- Walking with solder-load or weighted bag
Since trekking requires long time walks with a bag 5 kilos on your solder, a sudden weight on your shoulders. Put 5-6 kilos bag and try to walk 2-3 minutes and repeat this 10 times in 24 hours. If you have weight vest the try to run if you have not weighted vest the fill your bag with some books and wasted newspaper to weight.
- Climb stairs Up & Down
A mandatory aspect of trekking is ascending and descending trek. Ascend and descend walking is the most difficult tasks one faces during such trekking. For fitness practice, you regularly climb stairs. Regular climbing stair provides stronger muscles and better mental reflexes. Every day 5-10 minutes of stair climbing or 45 min walk or 20 min running reduces the risk of heart problem and increasing your stamina.

Sports like football and hockey which involve running can be the best exercise. Cycling is also best exercise to boost up your muscles. You also follow leg exercises.

We just got back from the Brahmatal trek with the Himalayan Climbers and to be honest it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had . They provided us with the most authentic camping experience. The camps were set up separate from all the other companies that provide the trek. This made our campsite to be more noise free and serene. Their location choices for setting up camps made the trip worth all it was. The trek Guide and leader Mahipat Singh was a very friendly and adaptable person who was very knowledgeable indeed. His past experiences were really amazing and the way he narrated them to us was the best. Himalayan Climbers provide the seven of us with alot of flexibility as we could decide our pace of walking by ourselves. Their ability to take up challenges is also commendable as they always give you more than what’s on the actual itinerary. Ppl who look to go on treks for the real peace and beauty must really travel with Himalayan Climbers as they are according to me the best!.
The few main key points for our trip that made it one to savour for a lifetime were

I was here last December…it is a beautiful trek. But Himalayan Climbers team really made it better for us with their hospitality. It is a 4 day trek, however since me and my friend wer short on time we wanted to complete it in 3 days, and Neeraj Bhaiya arranged it for us, he set up another guide JUST for bringing back only me and my friend on 3rd day itself and that too without charging a single extra rupee. During the trek our trek guide KK bhaiya( Kaushal) was very supportive and made us comfortable. Our cook(different cook for both nights) prepared real good food..the quality of tents were short of nothing. The second day we met Chandan Negi Bhaiya he was such a fun character to stay with. Once me and my friend returned to base camp they arranged a separate room for just 2 of us..I thought they would definitely charge something extra for this atleast. But no they dint take anything extra from us, infact Chandan Bhaiya himself came and offered us tea that night. I seriously did not expect this amount if hospitality. And all this for just 5000 rupees. Indiahikes charges much higher and you will never get this sort of personalised service or this local-friendly touch from them irrespective of how professional thyey are. Initially I was hesitant to book via Himalayanclimbers cos I had not seen their name as much as other trek companies, but they are the best for sure. I request all of you to please go with this group instead of the fancy trek companies charging much higher charges, because these people are localites and I feel these people should get more customers than other trek groups set up else where. Thank you so much Neeraj and Chandan bhaiya. Wish you both lots of success. I will definitely try to book a trek this year end as well with you. And also want to mention the beautiful frozen lakes on this trek..it is a real treat.
