Day 1: Bedni Bugyal Trek – Kathgodam to Lohajung

Time Taken: 10 hours

Drive from Kathgodam to Lohajung, the road winds through spectacular Kumaon region. The journey towards Lohajung begins through the splendid valleys and mountains. After 10 hours of a long journey, reached basecamp. If you like adventure, then you can trek beautiful mountains from Lohajung. Lohajung is the base camp of Bedni Bugyal Trek and also a very popular destination for trekking. Similarly, one of the top trekking routes in Indian Himalaya. From Lohajung, trekkers also get a magical view of the mighty Nanda Ghumti. Reach, relax and then overnight stay in the guest house.

Day 2: Lohajung to Didina village

Altitude: 7,662 ft to 8045 ft

Distance: 7.5 km

Time Taken: 5 hours

Trek towards Didina with a mild walk along a rocky trail then gradually followed a trail that descended downwards. After crossing an iron bridge over the Neel Ganga known as Raun Bagad, soon you can see the purest form of the Neel Ganga. The aura around bedni bugyal trek is at peace.

Day 3: Didina Village to Ali Bugyal

 

Altitude: 8045 ft to 11,320 ft

Distance: 10.5 km

Time Taken: 6-7 hour

Trek starts from Didina village to Ali Bugyal, through the thick forest, vast meadows and also the splendid view of the valley. The lake spreads in the middle of this Bugyal and beautifies the beauty here. Many small Bugyals are found in Garhwal’s proceedings.

The most famous among them is Ali and Bedni Bugyal trek. On the way, trekkers also see the Rhododendron, Oak and birch trees. Flora of rare species found here remains the subject of research for scientists. Ali bugyal trek is a beautiful tourist place for the summer holidays. The slightly ascend takes around 3-4 hours to reach Ali Bugyal.

Located at an altitude of 11,300 ft, this Bugyal is probably the Aisa’s largest Bugyal. It offers the 360-degree view of the mountain ranges. You can also capture the clear view of Trishul and Nanda Ghumti peak. Take the pleasure of an overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Ali Bugyal to Geroli Parhar via Bedni Bugyal and Bedani Peak

Distance: 7 km

Time Taken: 6-7 hours

Start trek to Geroli Parhar via Bedni Bugyal from Ali Bugyal, the journey towards through the velvet green meadows and beautiful aura. The lush green meadows spread all over the mountains. almost every trekking trail of Garhwal has become quite popular and it also has become the attraction of tourists.

It also offers the reflection of Mt. Trishul (7,120 meters) on the divine Bedni Kund is just awesome! Trek descends gradually towards Geroli Parhar and can be covered in 2 hours. Day 5: Geroli Parhar to Van to Lohajung

Distance: 12 km

Time Taken: 6-7 hours trek and 15 km by car

Last day of the Bedni bugyal trek. Wake up in the morning then have Breakfast. Trek descends gradually from Geroli Parhar passes through the dense forest and descend continuously till iron Bridge called Raun Bagad. There is a gradual climb from the bridge and can be covered for about an hour. After that you reached Wan. Drive from Wan to Lohajung and is about an hour’s drive.

Day 6: Bedni Bugyal Trek – Lohajung to Kathgodam

Distance: 210 km

Time Taken: 10 hours drive

You will reach Kathgodam between 6 pm and 7 pm.

WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO DO BEFORE GOING TO TREK?

Prepare your body-

  1. Running, Walk, Running

Running & Walking is the easiest and best for good health and trekking. Since the daunting of trekking & climbing requires long hours of public walk, ride, or drive, you must practice running or walking ablest one hour daily. Long walks during trekking make you tired those times and walk increase your fitness levels.

The benefits of running-

  • Loosing of extra pounds weight
  • Lower risk of heart problem
  • Improve and balance blood circulation
  • Increase stamina
  1. Walking with solder-load or weighted bag

Since trekking requires long time walks with a bag 5 kilos on your solder, a sudden weight on your shoulders. Put 5-6 kilos bag and try to walk 2-3 minutes and repeat this 10 times in 24 hours. If you have weight vest the try to run if you have not weighted vest the fill your bag with some books and wasted newspaper to weight.

  1. Climb stairs Up & Down

A mandatory aspect of trekking is ascending and descending trek. Ascend and descend walking is the most difficult tasks one faces during such trekking. For fitness practice, you regularly climb stairs. Regular climbing stair provides stronger muscles and better mental reflexes. Every day 5-10 minutes of stair climbing or 45 min walk or 20 min running reduces the risk of heart problem and increasing your stamina.

  1. Leg Exercises

Sports like football and hockey which involve running can be the best exercise. Cycling is also best exercise to boost up your muscles. You also follow leg exercises.

  • Stairs walk

Repeat those exercises 2-3 time in a day to prepared for trekking in Himalayas.

  1. Mental and physiological fitness

Mentally and physiological fitness is more important for fitness. If you find some time for yourself then meditate. Meditation is best exercise for the Mental and physiological fitness.

One of the most impotent things for trekking and maintaining is support and encouragement of your family and friends.
